2009 Int'l Conference on Nanotechnology for the Forest Products Industry

This conference was presented by TAPPI and the Alberta Ingenuity Fund and was held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on June 23-26, 2009.

The conference brought together leading researchers, industry experts, government representatives and other stakeholders who shared advances, perspectives and discussion of new ideas and breakthrough concepts in nanotechnology. Five keynote and over 40 technical presentations revealed developments for revolutionizing paper and wood products, as well as capturing sustainability-focused markets with bionanocomposites and capitalizing on wood-derived nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) and nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC).

As an added bonus this CD includes presentations from the 2009 Symposium on Nanomaterials for Flexible Packaging, held on April 30, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio. These presentations covered nanomaterials topics for barrier enhancement, anti—microbial technologies and intelligent packaging.

This CD contains presentations (Power point only) presented throughout both conferences.
