The Paper360° Top 75, Paper360º September/October 2020
Readers will see many names in the same places as last year—or close to them—as they peruse the Annual Top 75. Of course, International Paper stays firmly atop the listings. WestRock jumps into second place, leapfrogging Procter & Gamble. WestRock also showed a significant increase of about US$2 billion in pulp, paper, converting, and merchandising operations.
There is one new member of the Top 10: Essity, which comes in at No. 9, up from No. 11 last year. This perhaps shows the continuing growth of the tissue industry. With the COVID-19 pandemic creating panic buying of tissue in 2020, it will be interesting to see how that affects the numbers for the tissue producers in next year’s table.
