Simultaneous Bi-Axial Orientation of Films by the Double Bubble Process: Some Recent Development and New Products, 2003 European PLACE Conference Proceedings

Within the range of bi-axially oriented films, the heat shrink films for packaging are very rapidly growing and widening their application areas. The simultaneous bi-axial orientation process by the double bubble technique is very flexible and can cover a wide range of commodity type films as well as speciality films for packaging. Three examples of heat shrink films are proposed :a low shrink temperature film, a low shrink force film and an oxygen barrier film for food preservation.
