Comparison of Cast and Blown Film Process and Properties, 2000 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings
For many years the industry perceived cast film as the high quality film and blown film as the workhorse or low quality film. With recent improvements to blown film processing, the gap has narrowed and selecting a process for your film manufacturing operations may be somewhat more difficult. Although there is a basic difference in film properties, the end uses will most likely affect the process selected as the quality gap has narrowed.
