There are several different metering systems available to corrugated printers today. In recent years reverse angle doctor blade metering systems have generally been accepted as the preferred method of metering anilox rolls for flexographic printing of corrugated boxes. While the industry is aware that print quality improvements and reduced parts/labor costs are benefits of changing to doctor blade metering systems, this presentation investigates the potential savings of ink when using single reverse angle doctor blade metering systems.
