A dynamic model of a pressurized peroxide stage has been developed that predicts brightness progression, strength loss and the consumption of bleaching chemicals versus time. Part I of this series outlined the mathematical components of the model. Part II of this series further validates the peroxide model and applies it in the mill setting for the optimization of chemical charges to meet brightness targets.
