Novel High Performance Collation Shrink Films for Bundling and Multipacks, 2005 European PLACE Conference
In the recent years there has been a growing trend to cost effective advertising
display film for collation shrink applications. This paper outlines the development
of novel high performance NexxstarTM resin formulated collation shrink films
using newly developed Polyethylene resins and state of the art blown film
coextrusion equipment. The optimal combination of layer distribution, blend ratios
and blown film processing parameters have been investigated to substantially
improve and balance the following key properties: 1% secant modulus, tensile
strength, holding force, shrink rates, optical properties and downgauging potential.
