The global collation shrink film market is segmented depending upon the film’s primary function, such as transportation, bundling display, or advertising display. The highest quality collation shrink films, classified as advertising display films, require excellent optical properties in addition to good stiffness, high abuse resistance, excellent shrink performance, good holding force, and good machineability. Metallocene LLDPE has been combined with a new high performance LDPE and a new HDPE in a coextruded blown film structure to establish new industry leading performance in advertising display shrink film applications. This unique resin formulation combines outstanding package integrity and packaging line reliability, particularly on high speed packaging lines, with superb optical properties of high clarity, gloss, and enhanced print quality.
