Optimizing BSK (Bleached Softwood Kraft) Usage on a Paper Machine by Using Properties Obtained Through On-line Fiber Analysis, 2005 Papermakers Conference
How on-line monitoring of specific pulp properties and refining optimization can give quick
control information that can lead to reduction of BSK and still retain the needed strength to
ensure paper machine runnability and also maintain specified quality parameters such as final
sheet strength for properties such Tensile and Tensile Stiffness.
