Direct printing has been used to produce decorative surfaces of low visibility like drawer bottoms or backers for many years.
Technical advancements have created a completely new kind of quality for both more efficient traditional products and for new generations of products like IPL (indirect print laminate) or printed furniture fronts. This paper will explore the change of direct printing for value added products and its latest developments. The main focus will be the lacquer material build-up for different product applications, such as furniture elements and flooring.
These changes make direct printing a perfect choice for flexibility, efficiency, waste and cost reduction.
