New Production Method for Nano Silica Sol and its Application for Papermaking, 2006 International Conference on Nanotechnology

We have developed new production method of silica sols with particle size 3-5nm using Y-shaped apparatus. The new production method has advantages of high productivity and easy control of viscosity of silica sols compared to conventional methods. The silica sols with appropriate viscosity produced by this method have good stability and may be used as retention aids and wastewater treatment agents for papermaking.
