Maintaining the equipment in a paper making process within original OEM specifications is crucial to maximizing machine efficiency. Both preventive and predictive maintenance techniques can be utilized to maintain equipment at maximum production capacity while managing maintenance costs. In this paper I will identify specific examples of the techniques used, the required resources, the results on the equipment, and the results on the process. In most cases you will find that these are very simple techniques that almost any production facility can apply to maintain maximum machine capacity.
