Paper and board manufacturers continue to pursue new levels of productivity and quality throughout their process to maximize the value of the capital they employ. New nanoparticle colloidal silica developments enable paper and board producers to find this value through higher retentions and greater dewatering.

Lab studies have been completed in coated and uncoated freesheet, coated and uncoated mechanical, liquid packaging board, linerboard, and medium. These have all shown significant efficiency and performance improvements compared to existing best-available micro- and nanoparticle retention products.
