In the present work, rheological behaviors of different Micro fibrillated Cellulose (MFC) have been studied in water suspension. The influence of the degree of fibrillation has been analyzed by comparing what it has been called micro fibrillated cellulose (MFC) and nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC). The influence of chemical grafting using a long chain isocyanate (mNFC) has also been investigated. Both fillers were obtained from eucalyptus pulp. The prepared biobased suspensions were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy equipped with a Field Emission Gun (SEM‐FEG). Elemental analyses and FTIR spectroscopy were performed to evaluate the grafting efficiency. Different concentrations of MFC and NFC have been studied. The comparison between NFC and mNFC suspension (the latter one was surfactant‐assisted) was carried for one concentration.
