A closed mill system has been one of the main targets in kraft mill development. The ultimate target is to close the circuit so completely that the mill does not have any purge water and does not take any clean water to the process from the water reserves. The target of this work is to partially solve this problem by decreasing the usage of clean water in bleaching.
