The objective is to tell about the drying section optimization project at a kraft liner mill in Austria; why the mill needed the modification, what the problems were at the mill, how the problems were solved, what the delivery included and what benefits the project brought to the mill. The drying section optimization project included EV EasyGo web stabilizing concept, air systems, vacuum roll conversion and tail threading technology. The results show that the project was a success. Runnability improved significantly, the machine got more speed and the tail threading is now fluent and less time consuming.
