The ATMOS (Advanced Tissue Molding System) technology was developed at the Tissue Innovation Center (TIC) located at Voith Paper in São Paulo, Brazil with close cooperation with Voith Paper Fabrics & Rolls Systems. The system was developed to produce premium and ultra-premium tissue quality with lower installation and operating costs than existing commercial technologies and was launched into the market in 2007.
