One of the main trends in the production of graphic paper grades is cost reduction. In our contribution we will describe the application of vinylformamide copolymers for the treatment of fibers and inorganic fillers in the manufacturing of graphic paper grades. Based on two application cases we will demonstrate the impact of fiber and filler treatment on the strength properties of paper and the productivity of the paper making process.
