Mixed office Paper (MOP) can be a high quality fiber source. However, pressure sensitive adhesive’s (PSA’s) and toners need to be removed as much as possible. Comparing with toner, PSA is more difficult to remove and its negative effects on fiber quality are more serious. Current practice only uses conventional processing units of screening, flotation and cleaning without a dedicated PSA’s removal method.
