Burner Management Systems (BMS) systems have not changed much over the years. Most mills are investing in the Utilities Area with new or upgrades to boilers. A new hardware base and logic coding can simplify the effort to modernize the BMS as part of Boiler MACT investments and improve operating information to operators and maintenance personnel. Modern deployments include field device diagnostics and health conditions as well as simpler programming and visualization techniques.
