Bridging the Knowledge-to-Skills gap using the humble PC, PaperCon 2016
Technology allows us to capture knowledge of experts and deliver this in a format that can be absorbed by all of us non-experts. This presentation is intended to encourage you to not only exploit technology to “pump knowledge” into our memory cells but to also go the next step which is to teach the brain to “process” the knowledge.
Our contribution to this end, is the development of POPI which stands for Principles of Process Interactions, which is aimed at helping plant operators understand the complexities of the processes they have to control.
TAPPI conference proceedings and presentations, technical papers, and publication articles provide technical and management data and solutions on topics covering the Pulp, Paper, Tissue, Corrugated Packaging, Flexible Packaging, Nanotechnology and Converting Industries.
