A New Family of Forming Structures Provide Higher Dewatering, Planar Sheet Surface and Lower Drag Loads, PaperCon 2016
Cristini fabric designers have developed a novel weave pattern that utilizes SSB technology in a much tighter construction designed to provide improved drainage with higher FSI numbers. There is a family of board grade structures (ENERMASTER); there are two families (MICROLITE AND EXTRALITE) for fine papers and other grades that demand exceptionally high Fiber Support Index (FSI) and fabric side smoothness for improved printability; and an extremely fine version (SOFTLITE) for tissue and toweling grades. This last family can feature high levels of sheetside planarity for improved Yankee adhesion.
