Non-spinning, fluidizing flash mixing reactor for synthetic fibers, nano- and micro fibers for board paper and tissue production, PaperCon 2016
Wetend Technologies has developed a TrumpJet flash mixing reactor where several chemicals and additives can be brought to the machine area between machine screen and the headbox in a selected order. Everything that is inserted into the process goes directly through headbox to the forming section and to the end product. Thus a good cleanliness is a must. Additive quality and stability is also very important and essential.
A new injection concept has been developed to meet the requirements. The heart is an injection mixer with fluidizing effects and hygienic non spinning injection pump and new injection flash mixing reactor. Additive or chemical is precipitated instantly into liquid ligaments, drops and droplets.
Micro and nano fibers: The effect is exploited to mix a liquid gel like micro fibers (MFC) or nano fibers (NFC) close to the headbox.
Synthetic fibers, extra-long bio-based fibers: As a result of effects of fluidizing injection mixing system and new hygienic non spinning pump it is possible to mix problem free the fibers into fiber furnish at headbox feed area. The concept makes it possible to introduce the special fiber material into the process and exploit benefits of the new materials e.g. by creating new sheet composite structures and characteristics.
