Phenomena characterisation when solid polymer materials are exposed to dynamical deformation, 2017 European PLACE Conference
In different industrial processes solid polymer structures are exposed to intensive dynamical deformation. Due to the complexity of reliable material characterisation models and simulation capabilities, complex and costly performance evaluation, industrial tests are usually performed.
The paper is presenting how an elastomeric material model was formed based on a complete material thermodynamically characterisation. Time/temperature superposition approach is also considered.
Deviations between simulation and rig test results can be considered as small. The direct technical application can be connected to nip phenomena characterisation.
