SetPoint: Here We Go!, Paper360º, January/February 2018

I’m writing this note to you from a hotel room in Brussels, having just attended the European Paper Week conference hosted by CEPI, the Confederation of European Paper Industries. Outdoors, the weather has been gloomy; but indoors, the outlook has been a bit brighter. With a theme of “Sensing the Future,” innovation has been top-of-mind for everyone here, and it has been energizing to be among industry professionals focused on pulp and paper’s vast global potential. One of my favorite quotes of the week came from CEPI’s incoming Chair, Karl-Henrik Sundström (who is also CEO of Stora Enso): “Innovation never happens in isolation.”
