Editorial: TAPPI Journal 2017 Best Research Paper Award recognizes recycling technology, TAPPI JOURNAL June 2018
TAPPI and the TAPPI Journal (TJ) Editorial Board would like congratulate the authors of the 2017 TAPPI Journal Best Research Paper Award: Sylvie Ossard, Patrick Huber, Pascal Borel, Davy Soysouvanh, and Thierry Delagoutte, who developed the paper’s concept and its implementation at the Centre Tech-nique du Papier (CTP) in Grenoble, France. Their paper, “New automated method for macrocontaminant analysis: Industrial applications,” appeared on p. 623 of the November 2017 issue.
In addition to winning the TJ Best Research Paper Award for 2017, the paper also received the 2016 Wayne Carr Award from TAPPI’s Recycling Committee.First author Ossard, a former project engineer at CTP, now studies management at Grenoble École de Management. Co-authors Huber, Borel, and Delagoutte are continuing the work as project engineers at CTP, where co-author Soysouvanh is team leader. Recently, TJ spoke with Ossard about the work leading to the award-winning paper.
