WATER BALANCE AND SIMULATION OF WET PRESSING IN A TWO-ROLL PRESS SECTION, 18PaperCon
In a typical wet pressing, the sheet is pressed between a felt and two rolls in the nip to squeeze water from inside the web and out of the felt. After pressing, the press felt is normally washed using high pressure shower. The excessive water in the press felt is removed by vacuum in the uhle box and then the press felt passes through the nip with sheet again.
