A Review of Green Liquor Scale Formation, 2018 PEERS
Green liquor scale is a recurring problem in most kraft mills. Several types of scale, e.g. pirssonite, calcite, sodium aluminosilicates etc, have been identified in various green liquor scales. The mechanisms of formation and potential operational methods to control the formation of these scales is reviewed. This manuscript was taken from the new Lime Kiln and Recausticizing textbook currently being prepared for publication through TAPPI.
