Steel Yankee Shells - The Seamless Option, 2018 Tissue
In the last three years I have made several presentations on the A.Celli patented concept of making a Yankee dryer shell out of steel without any welds. As explained in previous presentations the welds in a steel shell are a safety concern and therefore require regular monitoring. The concept is now a reality as seamless steel shells have been designed and manufactured. This paper gives an overview of the manufacturing process employed to make the first forged Yankee dryer shell.
