SetPoint: A Refreshing Perspective, Paper360 May/June 2019

At the time of this writing, it’s finally spring in suburban Chicago, the location of Paper360°’s expansive global headquarters. A green haze on the trees belies an unusually cold, snowy winter that seemed as if it might never end (and please, no cracks about this disproving “global warming”—weather doesn’t have anything to do with that.) This afternoon I took a break from work to sit on a blanket on the lawn with my friend Rosie, who observed, “It feels so good to be outside! It’s refreshing.

”Rosie is six, and I chuckled at her mature perspective. She’s absolutely right—it is refreshing. The moment on the lawn was a pause in what’s about to be a busy schedule of traveling for TAPPI events. Of course, one of the best takeaways from a TAPPI conference is the host of new perspectives attendees are exposed to—it’s energizing and, as Rosie might say, “refreshing.” By the time you’re reading this, PaperCon 2019 will be over, but I hope I’ve had the chance to meet many of you there.
