One of TAPPI’s main objectives is the dissemination of the latest, most rel-vant scientific and engineering knowledge to advance the forest products and related industries. To meet that objective, TAPPI Journal (TJ) has adopted a hybrid Open Access (OA) publishing model. TJ’s stringent peer-review process and distinguished editorial board of academic and industry experts set TAPPI Journal apart as a reliable source for impactful basic and applied research and technical reviews.

The new TJ Hybrid-OA model continues to give TAPPI members exclusive first access to the latest year’s research online for free, while non-members pay a fee for current articles as before. The advantage of the OA model is that, at the one-year anniversary of an article’s publication, nonmembers Supporting emerging technologies and helping to drive industry innovation has always been a focus for TAPPI. In that spirit, TAPPI will co-locate its Nonwovens, Engineers, and Technologists (NET) Division’s NETInc (Innovative Nonwovens Conference) with the Tissue Division’s conference, TissueCon 2020. The events will take place September 28-October 2, 2020 at the Cobb Galleria Center in Atlanta, GA.This first-ever NETInc and TissueCon collocation will bridge the two topics to develop innovative insights that may not have been obvi-ous otherwise. Attendees will benefit from listening to sessions in the allied disciplines and will be able to share ideas across the tissue and nonwovens platforms.
