Domtar is converting its Kingsport, TN, paper mill into the company’s first containerboard facility. It expects the conversion to be complete in Q1 2023.

DS Smith’s newest packaging, design, and manufacturing plant—its Lebanon, IN, facility—was awarded an AA rating by the British Retail Consortium (BRC). Only 5 percent of US corrugated plants are at the AA level, the highest rating possible.

Flambeau River Papers’ mill in Wisconsin, which shut down last year, will reopen with new owners. Entrepreneur Yong Liu’s new company, Park Falls Industrial Management, will operate the mill under the name Park Falls Pulp and Paper. About 50 workers have been called back to the mill, as one of its three PMs is already back online.
