Applications of Infrared Thermography in Industrial Facilities, 20PEERS Conference
Over the past twenty years, predictive maintenance technologies have worked their way into industrial and manufacturing facilities changing how maintenance is viewed and practiced. One such technology is infrared thermography. It has a long and successful track record for increasing equipment reliability and safety in the work place as well as showing excellent returns on investment.
Infrared’s most widely used application is inspecting electrical systems for hot spots, but there are other applications for its use that provide similar monetary and safety benefits. Outdoor utility infrastructure, high voltage switchgear, mechanical equipment, flat roofs, insulated process equipment, and conveyor system are just a few examples of where infrared technology shines. This presentation will look at these applications and show how infrared thermography along with other complementary technologies can be used to improve performance, increase environmental friendliness and help facilities operate more safely and profitably.
