SetPoint: Pros at Cons, Paper360º May/June 2022

I have recently returned from TAPPICon 2022 in Charlotte, NC. If you were one of the more than 1,300 folks who were there, I hope we got to meet! Hey, remember that great presentation that blew everyone’s mind? Oh, and remember that cool thing we saw on the exhibit floor? Of course you do. It was terrific.

If you were not there… frankly, you missed out. Live events are becoming a “thing” again, remind-ing us all why we loved them in the first place. TAPPICon 2022 had a great energy, as if the industry is beginning to hit its stride again after the long COVID lockdown. Is everything back to “normal”? Not quite yet, but that’s okay. At TAPPICon 2022 there was a lot of talk about the “new normal” and how, as an industry, we can use the lessons learned during a challenging time to come back stronger, brighter, and full of ideas. What makes TAPPICon so special is that the programming is designed “by the industry, for the industry.” I was impressed with the level of engagement, both from the working professionals who planned the program and served as speakers, panelists, and subject matter experts; and from the attendees themselves, who flooded the exhibit floor and packed the session rooms. There really is nothing like that spark in the air when peers meet to share knowledge.
