Effect of fly ash-based calcium silicate on physical properties of cardboard paper, TAPPI Journal July 2023
Application: This study aims to broaden the application of China’s fly ash in integrated utilization and to address the physical properties of cardboard paper. With the help of a domestic company using high aluminum fly ash resources in the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia, the FACS produced by fly ash pre-desilication-alkali lime sintering method to extract calcium silicate, a byproduct of alumina co-production technology, was used as paper filler. The effect of FACS filler on the physical properties of cardboard paper was primarily tested and evaluated.
