Attendees at ASPI’s Fall Meeting were treated to an exclusive tour of Green Bay Packaging’s state-of-the art recycle mill—a model of modern sustainability.

When leaders at Green Bay Packaging decided to build the company’s new mill at the existing Green Bay, WI, site, they knew they’d be inviting a challenge—they planned to complete the project while still operating the current mill. The US$500+ million investment represents more than four years of planning, labor, and cooperation between company leadership, major vendors, and the state of Wisconsin. Project Wolfpack, as it is called, broke ground in August, 2018; the official ribbon-cutting took place in June, 2021.
