Thermal Conductivity of Paperboard, 23TAPPICon
Thermal properties affect processes that require heat transfer, such as calendaring, deep drawing, and heat-sealing. In this work, we describe a quick, reliable, and precise method for measuring the thermal conductivity of paperboard. We present thermal conductivity values for a range of commercially available paperboards and provide a model to describe the effects of density and composition.
