The role of hornification in the deterioration mechanism of physical properties of unrefined eucalyptus fibers during paper recycling, TAPPI Journal February 2024
Application: In this work, the authors demonstrated that the deterioration of the paper physical properties of unrefined eucalyptus fibers was due to the decrease in fiber bonding area caused by hornification. In addition, the authors also found that the re-swollen fiber width can be used as a predictive indicator of physical properties.
