SetPoint: Making Things Happen, Paper360º March/April 2024
My husband of 37 years was adamant about his idea. “It would be a GREAT cover! All that SAFETY gear and everything,” he said. “Plus, it’s different ... and visually interesting. You always say you like putting real industry people on the cover. After all these years, why not YOU?”
The truth is, I really do love the photo in question—so much so that I’m including it below. It’s just a cellphone selfie I took at the Sustana pulp mill in De Pere, WI, snapped from high above the construction area. It started with an email from Dan Goymerac of Miron (in the photo, on the left) about a project he was involved with that would be “a game-changer for the mill.” Coincidentally, I was going to be in Green Bay that week; a tour was arranged. That email and that tour turned into this issue’s cover story.
