Ahlstrom will close its mill in Bousbecque, France, which has a capacity of about 12,000 tpy of parchment paper, and centralize parchment paper production to its Saint-Séverin plant.

Clearwater Paper Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its tissue business to Sofidel America Corporation, a subsidiary of Sofidel S.p.A., for US$1.06 billion, subject to adjustments for debt, cash, transaction expenses and net working capital. The deal is part of Clearwater’s goal to become a leading independent supplier of paperboard to North American converters.
