Ahlstrom has completed its acquisition of Pixelle Specialty Solutions’ paper mill in Stevens Point, WI. With two paper machines, the mill has capacity to produce about 210,000 tpy of specialty paper, such as coated flexible packaging papers, release liner base, thermal papers, and other specialty labels.

Georgia-Pacific’s Savannah River mill in Rincon, GA, now accepts polyethylene (PE)- coated paper cups in its mixed paper stock for recycling. It’s the third GP facility to do so.

Green Bay Packaging will expand its facility in Morrilton, AR, with an investment of more than US$1 billion. This expansion represents the largest capital investment project in the history of Central Arkansas. The project includes the acquisition of about 300 acres of land for future expansion.
