Demonstrating Innovative Carbon Capture and Reuse at Kruger’s Wayagamack Mill, TAPPICon25
Kruger Inc., in partnership with Mantel Capture Inc., has launched an ambitious $23.75 million demonstration project at its Wayagamack Mill in Trois-Rivières, Québec, designed to reduce carbon emissions and promote the reuse of captured CO2. The project aims to demonstrate the scalability, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of Mantel’s molten-borate-based carbon capture technology while addressing the mill’s hard-to-abate emissions. This initiative reflects Kruger’s continued leadership in industrial decarbonization and innovation in the pulp and paper sector.
