Cascades Tissue Group: ‘We are Here to Grow—and Grow Fast’, Tissue360º Spring/Summer 2026
Cascades was originally founded
by three brothers, Bernard, Laurent, and
Alain Lemaire, in 1964 after they restored
an abandoned paper mill in Kingsey Falls in
Quebec, Canada.
After more than 60 years
of successful operation, Cascades is a major
player in the North American paper industry
and now describes itself as “one company, two
sectors”—tissue and packaging.
After a strategic reorganization finalized
two years ago, the company went from 21
tissue facilities down to 10 larger, efficiently
located mills, enabling it to have geographic
coverage across North America and be closer
to its partners.
