Measured spray velocity, opening angle, and droplet size distributions provide a basis for selecting nozzle
designs and optimizing operating practices to improve char-bed control and mitigate furnace fouling and emissions.
In addition, these data support rigorous computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling.
