Core emballage: innovators in the indian corrugating industry, Corrugating International, November 1999, Vol. 1(3)
"A box is just a box" was the simple understanding not only in the mind of the boxmaker but also in the minds of the consumer and product manufacturer. A brown box - a single color - was the common mentality. Everyone was merely interested in having the product packed and shipped to the retailer and/or the consumer. Product manufacturers wanting a more visual appeal used to paste a multicolor label on the box. Hardly anyone noticed that the box was a showcase and a protective cover for the product that it contained.
