Method for High Speed Automatic Non-Contact Counting of Stacked Corrugated Sheets Using Digital Imaging Techniques, 1992 Corrugated Containers Conference Proceedings
Gregory D. Hill--This paper describes a method for accurately counting individual corrugated sheets. The sheets are typically stacked as a unit load in preparation to be strapped for trailer loading. This technique utilizes a high resolution video camera and high speed frame grabber electronics to transmit real-time data to a personal computer (PC). The software in the PC interprets the data to arrive at a number which represents the total sheet count of the stack. This number can then be used by other computer systems which can print on-demand unit load shipping tickets and
to produce accurate invoices.
