Liquid Photopolymer Plate Configurations for High-Quality Direct Corrugated Print, 1992 Corrugated Containers Conference Proceedings
Harvey D. Schwartz--The need to upgrade direct corrugated print quality is not limited to high- quality, multi-color line, screen, and process color graphics competing with preprint linerboard, litho-laminate and litho-labels. The increased use of recycled paperboard, UPC/Manufacturer inventory smybology codes, and Quality Vendor/Management Purchasing systems of corrugated packaging requires continuous improvement of print quality across the full range of corrugated packaging products: primary and secondary. This will lead to technical developments in equipment, materials, and techniques to optimize the direct corrugated printing systems; i.e. press equipment, ink metering systems, feed/registration controls, anilox rolls, inks, mounting systems, and plate
materials and configurations.
