CALI 2727 Corrugator Starch and Board Quality Enhancer, 1993 Corrugated Containers Conference Proceedings
Robert W. Elfner--CALI 2727 Runnability Enhancer, developed by Enviro-Chem, Inc., enhances speed and all aspects of board quality. It is user friendly and can be added at the end of the batch of starch or to the storage tank directly. Because this product is not a starch based product requiring gelatinization, it creates a post corrugator, strong fiber tear bond within several minutes after stacking the loads. This environmentally acceptable product has had numerous tests in the field with all corn pearl starches, carriers, and weather proofing additives. No adverse effects in gel point changes or viscosity swings occurred in batches prepared or in storage. It is being used by numerous corrugators in the United States. The ease of blending and operator friendliness for clean up has contributed to its acceptance. The slide presentation will cover in detail all aspects of this product and field testing results.
