Fully Integrated, Single Source Rotary Diecutting Line, 1993 Corrugated Containers Conference Proceedings
Michel L. Defenbau--When most people hear the "Bobst" name, they think of flatbed diecutters. This was true for the first 100 years of our company’s existence but, today, solutions for both flatbed diecutting and rotary diecutting exist in our product range.
We are pleased to utilize this forum for the North American debut of our new Linecut DRO 66" rotary diecutting line offered by the Bobst Corrugated Group, S.A. Martin division. As the name "Linecut" implies, this 66" x 95", or 66" x 110", rotary diecutter is conceived as a full inline machine including feeder, up to six printing units with inter-station dryers as required, a drying station between printing and diecutting, a 66" rotary diecutter, waste stripping unit, and multi-out bundle stacker. This line provides substantial flexibility in that the machine can be prescribed to the exact customer requirements, mixing and matching color units, dryers, and delivery to form a simple a-color rotary diecutter using a second party stacker or to configure a 6-color offline printing press.
Let’s quickly go section by section to review the features of this new line.
