My TAPPI Story: McKenna Goulette
A new form of corrugated paperboard and manufacturing technology have been developed over a period of some seven years. The board and technology are both known commercially under the trade name of Xitex hereinafter called X-flute. The X-flute technology has progressed from laboratory, pilot plant and prototype stages to the point where a 2250mm width commercial machine has been operating for two years. The introductory phase into the Australian market has confirmed expectations, with improved appearance and significantly improved compression strength performance per unit weight.
